The Falmouth Economic Development and Industrial Corporation’s page says the Landfill Solar Phase I, “a 4 Megawatt (DC) Solar Photovoltaic System consisting of 11,742 solar panels was completed in the spring of 2017”. Phase II, “a 2 Megawatt (DC) Solar Photovoltaic System was completed in May 2021”. The page puts the capped landfill site off Thomas Landers Road.

The Town’s 2020 climate plan lists “a 5 kW photovoltaic and a large solar hot water system on the roof of Gus Canty Recreation Center” and “a 2.5 kW photovoltaic system on the Morse Pond School”. It says “In 2010, 27 kW photovoltaics were installed on the town hall and 15 kW on the Crooked Pond pumping station.” The same plan calls Falmouth “a leader in Massachusetts for solar panel installations”, going by a figure from the end of 2019. Those are 2020 descriptions, and counts may have changed.
