Solar at the transfer station

MassDEP’s letter of November 1, 2013 approved the post-closure use of the Provincetown landfill site for a solar photovoltaic array and said it would be built adjacent to the landfill, on the transfer station parcel. A photo caption in The Provincetown Independent from March 2026, read from an archived copy, says “There are about 528 solar panels at the Provincetown transfer station” and “six rows with 88 panels in each”. The Cape & Vineyard Electric Cooperative’s project table has a Provincetown Transfer Station row dated 12.15.14.
