Our holiday light installation in San Diego is a seasonal lease, for homes and businesses across San Diego and Orange Counties: the professional-grade LED lights, in white or multicolor, belong to us, and you pay for them one season at a time. We hang the Christmas lights, come back if part of the display fails, and take everything down once the holidays are over.

Holiday lights around San Diego in December 2026
The City’s December Nights page lists Balboa Park December Nights for Friday, December 4, 2026, from 4 to 10 p.m., and Saturday, December 5, from noon to 10 p.m. The City bills it as its largest free holiday festival and says it draws more than 350,000 people over the two days.
Out on the water, the San Diego Bay Parade of Lights’ own website lists the 56th annual parade for December 13 and December 20, 2026.

What the job involves
Up on clips. The LED strands are cut to the lines of your roof and held on with clips rather than nails or screws, and every connection is weather-rated.
Repairs during the season. Should a strand or a stretch of the display go dark, call us and someone comes back out to fix it.
Down after the holidays. When the season wraps up, we take the display down, and because it’s leased, the lights leave with us and are stored until next season.
When to book
Early fall is the ideal time to call. We install through December, so a later call is welcome too, whether it’s prompted by a party on the calendar or relatives flying in for the week.
If you put up a few strands of your own
San Diego Fire-Rescue’s Christmas tree safety page recommends checking holiday lights every year before they go up, looking for frayed wires, bare spots, gaps in the insulation, broken or cracked sockets, and excessive kinking or wear. The same page advises bringing outdoor electrical lights inside after the holidays, to prevent hazards and extend their life.
