Before and after holiday lighting installation by Clearly Amazing

For holiday light installation, Seattle homes and businesses can turn to Clearly Amazing: professional-grade LED lights in white or multicolor, and a full-season Christmas light hanging service across the Seattle area. We put the lights up, come back if part of the display goes dark, and take everything down when the holidays are over. The lights are leased by the season, so they stay our property and you pay one season at a time.

Holiday lights in Seattle, Redmond and Kirkland

Seattle Center lists Winterfest on its grounds from November 27 to December 31, 2026. Two parts of it are described there as annual traditions: the Winter Train & Village, which the campus says has been on display for 50 years, and the campus lighting, with twinkling lights in the trees.

In Redmond, home to our Seattle-area office, the city announced that its annual Redmond Lights celebration of art and light would run from December 6, 2025, to January 5, 2026, expanding for the first time from Downtown Park to Esterra Park in the Overlake neighborhood. The City of Redmond lists Redmond Lights 2026 for Saturday, December 5, 2026, through Monday, January 4, 2027, with a kick-off event at Downtown Park on December 5 from 4 to 8 p.m.

In 2024, the Kirkland Downtown Association held what it called its annual tree lighting at Marina Park on Saturday, December 7, and the City of Kirkland’s listing that season also included an Argosy Christmas Ship Festival stop at Marina Park on December 18.

A December 2025 post from the Seattle Municipal Archives looks back at a 1962 Seattle City Light short film on holiday lighting, describing twinkling strands that frame doorways and illuminate roof lines.

LED strands, cords and ladders at home

In a 2022 holiday post, Seattle City Light said LEDs use up to 80% less energy and are less of a fire risk because they stay cooler even with extended use. The Seattle Fire Department’s 2020 holiday post noted that LED lights do generate some heat, but that most don’t produce infrared radiation, so more of their energy goes to making light and fire risk goes down.

Both posts also put a number on strands: City Light said it’s best to limit extension cords to just three strands of lights, and the fire department called limiting strands to three, or to no more than the manufacturer’s instructions recommend, a safe bet. City Light’s post also told anyone hanging lights outdoors to keep the ladder and decorations clear of overhead power lines at all times.

When to book Christmas light installation in Seattle

A holiday display is up during the rainiest months at Seattle–Tacoma International Airport, where NOAA’s 1991–2020 normals average 6.31 inches in November, 5.72 in December and 5.78 in January.

Early fall is the ideal time to call, so your installation date can be set well ahead of the holidays. Christmas light installation in Seattle continues through December, though, so a call later in the season is still welcome, whether a houseguest list just grew or you’ve decided this is the year the house gets lit.

How we work

Cut to the roofline. Each run of professional-grade LED lights is cut to the length of the roofline it follows and held in place with clips. No nails or screws go into your house, and the connections are weather-rated.

Kept lit all season. If part of the display stops lighting up mid-season, let us know and a crew returns to fix it.

Taken down after the holidays. Once the season is over, the crew removes the whole display.

Areas we cover

We hang holiday lights in Seattle and in Everett, Snohomish, Lynnwood, Bothell, Kirkland, Redmond, Bellevue, Renton and Issaquah, for businesses as well as homes. Call if you’d like to check an address.
