What the Commons lists for the holidays
Mashpee Commons describes itself as “a shopping and living community comprised of over 100 businesses and 77 residential units”. It says it “hosts free year-round events for the whole family including block parties, live entertainment and holiday attractions”. Its holidays page lists the 2025 season: “MASHPEE TREE LIGHTING CEREMONY: FRIDAY NOVEMBER 28 (3:30-5PM).” The same page lists “MASHPEE CHAMBER 19TH ANNUAL CHRISTMAS PARADE: SATURDAY DECEMBER 13 AT 6PM!” Those are the organizers’ listings and dates for 2025.

Holiday lights in the zoning bylaw
The Town’s 2024 Zoning Bylaws have a subsection on illumination in the commercial and industrial district sign rules. It says “Holiday lights shall not be deemed as coming within the provisions of this subsection, but this subsection shall apply to window signs.”
Mashpee Commons and the rotary
The Commons is at 22 Steeple Street, and it says it is “conveniently located at the rotary that connects routes 28 and 151”. The Mashpee Public Library is at 64 Steeple Street. The Town’s open space plan names the North Market Street neighborhood at the Commons, and says commercial zones are “located primarily in the center of the town around the Route 28/151 rotary”. Mashpee Fire & Rescue Station 1 is at 20 Frank Hicks Drive, and the Mashpee Police Department is at 19 Frank Hicks Drive.
How a holiday install works
Estimate. The estimate is free, and the crew gives it on site.
Install. The lights are cut to fit the rooflines and attached with clips, and installing carries on through December.
Upkeep. A strand or section that fails mid-season gets a return visit and a repair. When the season ends, the crew takes everything down and the lights go into storage with us.

Our crews are our own employees. Installs are covered by general liability and by workers’ compensation, and certificates are available upon request.
