Holiday Lighting in Des Moines, WA

Des Moines homes and businesses can have holiday lighting installed by crews from our Redmond office. We cut professional-grade LEDs, white or multicolor, to the rooflines of the building. Only clips hold them, the connections are weather-rated, and no nails or screws go into the building. These are leased lights; they belong to us, and the charge is per season.

Holiday events on the Des Moines waterfront

Argosy Cruises’s 2026 schedule lists a Christmas Ship departure from the Des Moines Marina on Wednesday, December 16, with sailings from 5:00 to 6:30 pm and 8:00 to 9:30 pm. Its schedule also lists shoreline performances that day at the Des Moines Marina Pier from 5:10 to 5:30 pm and at Redondo Beach/Fishing Pier from 8:35 to 8:55 pm. The Des Moines Waterfront Farmers Market’s site lists a Holiday Market on November 7 at Des Moines Beach Park.

The City’s Events page lists a Holiday Tree Lighting with no date, and a Breakfast with Santa in December, with no 2026 date. A B-Town Blog post of November 18, 2025 reported that the City would hold that year’s tree lighting on Saturday, December 6, 5:30 to 7:30 pm, moved from Big Catch Plaza to the Marina. These are other organizers’ events, not our work.

The City, its parks and its roads

The City says it was incorporated on June 17, 1959 and is currently developed as a suburban residential community. Its parks system holds 43 parks on 221 acres, with 4.8 miles of trails. The City lists baseball, softball and soccer fields at Field House Park among its facilities. The Parks Map labels Des Moines Memorial Park. The City owns the Des Moines Marina, which has a public fishing pier. The City’s plan says Des Moines is bordered by Interstate 5, which is not within city limits. It also says Des Moines’s street network includes the state routes SR 99, SR 509 and SR 516. The plan also lists Marine View Drive S among the corridors with designated bike lanes.
