Before and after holiday lighting installation by Clearly Amazing

Clearly Amazing puts up holiday lighting for homes and businesses on Cape Cod and throughout Barnstable County, from our office in Hyannis. The lights are professional-grade LEDs in white or multicolor, cut to fit your rooflines and held on with clips, and we take them down once the season is over.

Call (508) 790-2020 and we’ll come out for a free estimate.

Your lights and the Cape’s holiday calendar

Provincetown’s Annual Lighting of the Pilgrim Monument is set for Thanksgiving Eve, November 25, 2026, from 3:00 to 5:15, and the town’s tourism office calls the Lighting on the Hill the official kick-off to the holiday season in Provincetown. The same office lists the Provincetown Lobster Pot Tree Lighting for November 28, 2026, and Holly Folly, which now runs every weekend in December, for December 4–21, 2026.

In Chatham, the annual Christmas by the Sea celebration, sponsored by the chamber of commerce and the merchants association, opened in December 2025 with the annual Light Parade to the Sears Park triangle, at the corner of Main and Seaview streets, for the lighting of the town tree. The Cape Cod Chronicle described the same route to Sears Park in December 2024, when the event was billed as the Children’s Light Parade and the annual lighting of the community Christmas tree.

In Hyannis, a village of the Town of Barnstable, the Hyannis Holiday weekend brings a boat lighting and holiday sing-along at the top of the Village Green and a Harbor Boat Parade at Hyannis Harbor, organized by Arts Barnstable, the Greater Hyannis Civic Association, the Hyannis Main Street BID and Love Live Local.

What the service includes

A free estimate at the property. The estimate is free and done at your house or building, and the light runs are cut to fit its rooflines.

Clips, LEDs and weather-rated connections. The professional-grade LEDs, white or multicolor, go up with clips only, so nothing gets nailed or screwed into your trim or shingles. Every connection is weather-rated.

Repairs during the season, then takedown. Should a strand or section stop working mid-season, we come back out to fix it. When the season ends, we take the display down.

Leasing instead of buying

The lights stay ours, and we keep them stored between seasons. You lease them and pay per season instead of buying a set.

November and December weather at Hyannis

At the Hyannis airport station, November’s normal precipitation is 4.13 inches and December’s is 4.68 inches, the highest of any month, according to NOAA’s 1991–2020 normals.

Holiday lighting installation: Cape Cod and Barnstable County

Our Hyannis office puts up holiday lighting in every town on the Cape: Provincetown, Truro, Wellfleet, Eastham, Orleans, Chatham, Harwich, Brewster, Dennis, Yarmouth, Barnstable, Mashpee, Falmouth, Sandwich and Bourne, and we reach the villages of West Barnstable, Osterville, Marstons Mills, Cotuit and Centerville as well. Our installers are our own employees, and each crew is covered by general liability insurance and workers’ compensation; a subcontractor comes in only occasionally, for very specialized work. If you need a certificate of insurance, just ask.

Questions about holiday lighting Cape Cod homes and businesses

Do you install Christmas lights for businesses on Cape Cod, too?
Yes. We light businesses as well as homes.

Can I choose the color?
Yes. The LEDs come in white or multicolor, and you choose which.

How late in the season can I book?
We install through December. If you want the lights on before Thanksgiving, the fall is the time to set up the estimate.

Is a temporary holiday display a sign under Falmouth’s historic district rules?
No. The Falmouth Historical Commission’s rules, which apply in the town’s seven local historic districts (Davisville, Falmouth Village, North Falmouth, Quissett, Waquoit, West Falmouth and Woods Hole), leave temporary holiday displays out of their definition of a sign. That line is about the definition of a sign only; it doesn’t say whether a display needs any other review.
