Damascus at a glance

Damascus is an unincorporated community in Clackamas County. The City of Damascus was incorporated in 2004; its residents voted in 2016 to disincorporate, and in 2020 the Oregon Supreme Court upheld the law that gave effect to that vote.

Census Bureau survey figures for 2020-2024 put about 11,400 residents and about 3,900 housing units in the Damascus census-designated place. About 95 percent of those are detached houses.

Clackamas County’s Madrone Wall Park, opened in October 2017, is on SE Highway 224. North Clackamas Parks & Recreation District places its Trillium Creek Park in the Anderegg Neighborhood of Damascus.
