Damascus roads and the Road Fund

Clackamas County’s Damascus roads page says the State set up a 10-year funding program, the Damascus Road Fund, to help the County maintain certain roads “within the former city’s boundary,” and that the fund “will end in early 2027.” The County says it is making a final one-time investment in “51 local access roads” that it will no longer maintain after the fund expires. The page names every one of them. That is the County’s road page. It says nothing about driveways or washing.

For the Damascus census-designated place, the Census Bureau’s 2024 five-year release shows about 3,696 detached one-unit homes among about 3,886 housing units (95.1 percent).
