The standards ask the street-facing facade of each dwelling to contain at least three listed features, and one is “Decorative patterns on exterior finish (e.g., scales/shingles, wainscoting, ornamentation, and similar features)”. Another archived section, 18.46.020, says an accessory dwelling’s “siding materials, color and window treatment” shall be similar to the primary structure. Both passages are design rules for new subdivisions and accessory dwelling units, and neither mentions cleaning.
