RESIDENTIAL SERVICES

Clearly Amazing provides gutter cleaning services for homes across Grand Blanc, Michigan, out of our office on Tri Park Drive. “Grand Blanc” is actually two separate local governments sharing one name — the City of Grand Blanc and Grand Blanc Charter Township, both in Genesee County. We serve both, along with Fenton, Goodrich and Clarkston.

Which Grand Blanc government serves your street
The City of Grand Blanc’s charter was approved by the governor in 1929 and adopted by the city’s own voters the following year. The township is older still as a unit of government — it became Genesee County’s first one in 1833 — and its own profile describes it as the 36 square miles that surround the city.
Whose program picks up your yard waste
The City of Grand Blanc runs its own seasonal Cleanup Week each spring and fall, when the city’s Department of Public Works chips branches up to 4 inches in diameter that aren’t tied or bundled, plus a zoned leaf-pickup program. Grand Blanc Charter Township runs a separate program with its own rules: yard waste there includes grass clippings, leaves and garden debris, plus small branches and shrubbery under 4 feet long and 2 inches thick — those branches and shrubbery have to be bundled and tied. The township’s compost season runs from the first full week of April through the last full week of November.
When we clean your gutters, we bag the debris and dispose of it.

What actually causes ice dams on a Grand Blanc roof
Michigan State University Extension is specific about the mechanism: an ice dam forms “when attic heat warms the roof and melts the snow on the edge of the roof,” and that meltwater then refreezes at the eaves, the coldest part of the roof. MSU is just as specific about the cause — “the underlying problem leading to the formation of ice dams is undesirable attic heat,” generally from too little insulation or too little attic ventilation. Oakland County, Michigan’s own emergency-management page makes the case for keeping gutters clear anyway: “thoroughly clean all leaves, sticks and other debris from your home’s gutters and down spouts. This lets melting roof snow flow into gutters and through down spouts, just as they were designed.” We’ll clean your gutters and mean it, but we won’t tell you that alone stops an ice dam an attic problem is causing.
Gutter cleaning in Fenton, Goodrich and Clarkston
We clean gutters throughout the City of Grand Blanc and Grand Blanc Charter Township, plus Fenton, Goodrich and Clarkston, all from this Tri Park Drive office. Close by but not sure we reach your street? Ask.
When to schedule
Once the trees are bare is the ideal time for a fall gutter cleaning, since it catches everything that’s already come down. Spring works well too, especially after a winter that dropped branches or roof granules into the system — and on any property with a history of ice buildup at the eaves, it’s worth having the attic’s insulation and ventilation checked as well, since MSU Extension points to attic heat as the usual cause.
Questions Grand Blanc customers ask
I’m in Grand Blanc Township, not the city — do you still come out?
Yes. We work both the City of Grand Blanc and Grand Blanc Charter Township — separate governments, same service area to us.
Will cleaning my gutters stop ice dams?
Not by itself. MSU Extension says the underlying problem is attic heat, generally from too little insulation or ventilation. A clear gutter still lets meltwater drain through the downspouts the way it’s designed to. If ice dams keep forming, the attic is worth a look alongside the gutters.
What do you do with the debris you pull out?
We bag it and dispose of it.
