Slippery walkways, per OSU

OSU’s Solve Pest Problems moss page, with text updated May 28, 2026, includes the line “Moss on patios, decks, and walkways can be slippery.” Another line reads “Algae on walkways is a slipping hazard.” Both are Pacific Northwest guidance rather than Gresham facts, and neither line points to a company.

The landmark chapter of the Development Code

Section 5.0300 of the Gresham Development Code does not use the words clean, wash, soft wash or pressure wash. It covers review of work that would affect the exterior appearance of a Class 1 landmark on the City’s list. Which buildings are landmarks is for the City to say.

Sidewalks and exterior painting in a Rockwood grant

Among the eligible projects named on the City’s Rockwood Storefront Improvement Grant page are “Exterior painting” and “Sidewalks,” for businesses inside the Rockwood-West Gresham Urban Renewal Area. The program belongs to the Gresham Redevelopment Commission and the City, and it is not ours.

Attached homes and small apartment buildings, by the count

Per the Census Bureau’s 2024 five-year estimates, 2,438 of Gresham’s units are single-unit attached homes (5.5 percent), and 4,406 are in buildings of two to four units (10.0 percent). Counts of units are silent on what any given patio or driveway is built from.

The City’s Historic Southeast page names East Gresham Elementary, Dexter McCarty Middle School and Thom Park, and its boundary text mentions Roberts Avenue.
