Gresham is an incorporated city. The City’s history page says it elected its first mayor and city council in 1904, and that the state granted permission to incorporate on Feb. 11, 1905.

The 2020-2024 American Community Survey, a Census Bureau product, lists about 112,000 residents and about 44,000 housing units. Detached houses account for 53 percent of the units, and buildings with five or more units hold 28 percent.
