Siding and walls in the written sources

Among the facade materials in Flint’s Zoning Code for the NC, CC, D-E and D-C districts are “brick, glass; fiber cement siding, metal (beams, lintels, trim elements and ornamentation only); wood lap, stucco, split-faced block, or stone.” In a 2021 archived copy of Flint’s City Code, a model property code is adopted, and section 304.2 of that model code’s 2012 edition says “All siding and masonry joints, as well as those between the building envelope and the perimeter of windows, doors and skylights, shall be maintained weather resistant and water tight.” Each line belongs to its source.
