Holiday Lighting Installation in Flint, MI

At Flint houses and businesses, our Grand Blanc crews put up professional-grade LED lights, white or multicolor, cut to fit the rooflines. Strands are fastened with clips, never nails or screws, and joined by weather-rated connections. The lights are leased per season and stay ours; storing them over the off-season is on us.

Lights and tree lightings in Flint

The Flint Institute of Arts listed the Flint Cultural Center’s 40th annual Holiday Walk for Tuesday, December 2, 2025, from 5 to 8 pm, with a tree lighting at 5:15 pm in the Durant Plaza between Whiting Auditorium and Sloan Museum of Discovery. A City of Flint release posted December 15, 2022 invited the community to a tree lighting at Flint City Hall on Monday, December 19 at 5:15 pm. WNEM reported on November 27, 2024 that the City would host its official tree lighting on Wednesday, December 4, beginning at 4:30 pm in front of City Hall. In December 2016, My City Magazine wrote that “The Flint DDA begins putting up lights around Thanksgiving, but doesn’t turn them on until after the Turkey Day feast.” Those are the museum’s, the City’s, the station’s and the magazine’s words, not ours.

How the season runs

Estimate. A free on-site estimate comes first.

Install. Installs run through December.

Repairs. If part of a string goes dark, a crew comes back during the season to fix it. The lights come down after the season.

McKinley Park, Thread Lake and the Pingree and Peer avenue area

Holiday lighting installation covers all of Flint. The City’s directory lists the Brennan Senior Center at 1301 Pingree Avenue and the McKinley Center at 249 Peer Avenue. Genesee County Parks gives 3102 Collingwood Parkway for McKinley Park and says “On the shores of Thread Lake”. The City’s Parks Plan names Windiate Park, Cronin Derby Downs and Gerholz Park. The Planning Division’s neighborhood-groups map names Woodcroft Estates.
