RESIDENTIAL SERVICES

Clearly Amazing pressure washes driveways, walkways, patios and other hard surfaces for homes and businesses in the Town of Vienna, working from our Northern Virginia office on Trade Center Place in Sterling. Vienna is an incorporated town in Fairfax County with 4.403 square miles of land, and it writes its own zoning rules in its Town Code.

Driveways, patios and porches in the Town’s zoning language
The Town’s lot-coverage section, § 18-213, counts “Automobile parking spaces and driveways, whether solid surfaces or gravel,” “Porches and stoops” and “Patios and terraces,” along with principal and accessory buildings and sport courts. It leaves out “Walkways and sidewalks that are five feet or less in width.” Separately, the definitions in § 18-902 list driveways, parking areas and sidewalks among impervious surfaces. These passages measure surfaces for zoning; they do not address cleaning them.
The Town’s 2022 tree canopy assessment, built on 2021 imagery, measured impervious surfaces at 33.0 percent of the Town’s land, 23.4 percent of its residential land and 71.1 percent of its commercial land. In the same report, residential land is 59.7 percent of the Town and commercial land is 7.3 percent.
Refuse areas at Vienna businesses
For business properties, § 13A-5 says each business establishment “shall be equipped with adequate refuse containers or storage areas,” and that “Containers and storage areas shall be emptied regularly and cleaned sufficiently often to keep them free of obnoxious odors and vermin.” The section sets a result and names no method.
Inside the Windover Heights district
Windover Heights is the Town’s historic overlay district in northwest Vienna, and the zoning code’s purpose statement for it calls the district “a single-family residential neighborhood which has changed little since the turn of the century.” The Town’s Residential Projects page says properties in the district need a Certificate of Appropriateness from the Windover Heights Board of Review for residential and zoning permits and for other exterior modifications that are not regular repair and replacement in kind, paint color changes included.
The code sections for the district, § 18-237 and § 18-840, do not mention cleaning or washing, so on that point they are silent. They apply to that district only, not to the rest of the Town.
Which Vienna your address is in
A Vienna postal address does not tell you whether a property sits inside the Town’s boundary. The three Vienna ZIP areas, 22180, 22181 and 22182, each cover more land than the Town’s 4.403 square miles in the Census Bureau’s 2024 Gazetteer, and ZIP areas are Census approximations that do not trace the Town line. Vienna is one of the Northern Virginia communities we serve, along with Fairfax, Falls Church, McLean and Chantilly, and we work throughout the Town of Vienna.

Vienna pressure washing questions
Do you also pressure wash businesses in Vienna?
Yes. We do commercial pressure washing as well as residential.
Does a driveway wash in Windover Heights go through the Board of Review?
The district’s code sections list what needs a certificate and never mention washing, so we can’t say either way.
What insurance do the crews carry?
A certificate of insurance is available upon request. Workers’ compensation and general liability are both in place, and our crews are our own employees.
