Holiday lights around Cincinnati, and on your roofline

The Cincinnati Zoo says its 44th annual PNC Festival of Lights runs from November 19, 2026 to January 3, 2027, closed November 26 and December 24 and 25, with 5 million LED lights throughout the Zoo. The Zoo’s own release for the 2025 festival called it “Cincinnati’s favorite holiday tradition.”

On Fountain Square, the tree has a longer history still. 3CDC, which operates the square, says the first community tree arrived there in 1913, sponsored by the Cincinnati Women’s Club. The 2025 Duke Energy Holiday Tree was a 52-foot Concolor fir from Traverse City, Michigan, strung with more than 25,000 LED lights. The city described Light Up the Square, held on November 28, 2025, as the annual event that marks the beginning of the holiday season with the lighting of that tree.

Your house is a far smaller canvas than a zoo or a city tree, and the aim there is simpler: clean lines along the roof that read well from the street.

What the service includes

Install. The LED runs are cut to fit your rooflines and clipped in place, with no nails or screws. Every connection is weather-rated, which matters in late fall and early winter here: in NOAA’s 1991–2020 normals, November and December together bring 6.96 inches of precipitation at the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky airport station, which sits in Kentucky.

Mid-season repairs. A strand can fail or a section can go dark partway through the season. When that happens, call us and we come back out to repair it.

Takedown. Once the holidays wrap up, the whole display comes off the house. The lights are leased, so they go back with us and stay in storage until the next season.

When to book holiday lights in Cincinnati

The ideal time to call is September or October. If you’d like your house lit early in the season, an early-fall call makes that easier to plan.

Installs continue through December, so a call later in the season is welcome too. Family flying in, a party on the calendar, or a storefront you want lit for December shoppers: any one of those is reason enough to pick up the phone.

Holiday lighting across the Cincinnati metro

We install holiday lights throughout Cincinnati and the Cincinnati, Ohio metropolitan area. That includes outdoor holiday lighting in Blue Ash, home to our office, along with Lawrenceburg and Northern Kentucky, and we also serve Dayton.

Your tree and your own decorations

Ohio State University Extension in Fairfield County published holiday safety tips in 2021 from Extension Educator Alisha Barton. Among them: inspect your lights before hanging them, and throw away any with cracked strands or frayed cords; hang lights with clips rather than nails; and unplug them before going to bed or leaving the house.

When the indoor tree comes down, check the city’s instructions for that season. In its December 2025 notice for the 2025–26 season, the city said real Christmas trees would be collected on the regular yard-waste schedule and asked residents to remove all ornaments, lights and tinsel.

Holiday light installation questions

Are the lights mine to keep?
No. They’re leased, so they remain ours, and the lease runs season by season.

A section went dark after the install. Now what?
Let us know. Mid-season repairs are part of what we do, so a crew comes back out to fix it.

Do you light businesses as well as homes?
Yes. We install holiday lighting for businesses and homes across the Cincinnati area.

Is your crew insured?
Yes. Our crews carry general liability and workers’ compensation coverage, and a certificate is available if you need one.
